Maria DeSalvo, a fifth-generation Marin County native, is deeply rooted in a family legacy of top-producing real estate professionals throughout the Bay Area. While Maria's path to real estate wasn't straightforward, it was one that ultimately brought her home—to herself and to the profession she was meant to pursue.

In the summer of 2021, after founding and running a magazine, Mdrn Day Muse, Maria found herself at a crossroads. Despite what seemed like career success, she felt drained and stretched too thin, juggling multiple roles from Editor-in-Chief to personal branding coach, caregiver, and social media manager for her cousin, a realtor in Marin. It was during this time that a conversation with her now husband at Stinson Beach sparked the idea of a career in real estate. Though initially unfamiliar, the more she observed the industry, the more she realized it aligned perfectly with her skills in branding, leadership, and interpersonal communication.

Making the difficult decision to step away from her previous ventures, Maria embraced real estate with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity. Within six months, she earned her real estate license and joined a brokerage, feeling for the first time in a long while that she was building something truly meaningful.
